Grey's Anatomy - Season 4

Callie
Callie has thinks she might be pregnant but George doesn't care 'cause he is in love with Izzie.
She struggles with being the chief resident, and Bailey is doing all her work.
She leaves George after figuring out that he was cheating on her.
She argues with Izzie, and almost/sort of/not really fights her in the cafeteria.

(Maile Flanagan guests in this episode!)

Eventually the chief catches onto the fact that Bailey is covering Callie's ass and demotes Callie and gives the chief resident job to Bailey.
George's mum visits with baby clothes for Callie (she doesn't know they broke up) Izzie soon clears that up, albeit accidentally.
I have no idea where the "Callie might be pregnant storyline goes".

Erica
Erica is invited to perform a heart transplant at the hospital in episode 5. She doesn't get along with Yang, and chooses Izzie to scrub in on the surgery instead. The chief also offers her a job as the new head of cardiothoracic surgery and Erica accepts.
She crashes the chief's "gentleman's evening" with Derek and Mark, they all play board games together.
Mark flirts with her. A lot. She shoots him down every time.
She eventually lets Yang in on a surgery after Yang takes advice from Callie to stop being such a kiss-ass.
Erica reaches out to Callie and Mark in episode 10 and asks them if they want to go for a drink after work. The 3 of them have some pretty good banter.
Tucker, Bailey's kid gets trapped under a bookshelf and Erica has to perform life saving surgery on him.
The chief wants her to do a very risky operation on his mentor, and although she initially refuses, she eventually agrees and the operation is a success.

Gay-ness
Begins when Erica invites Mark and Callie out for drinks after work in episode 10.
Yang gets all jealous about Callie hanging out with Erica all the time and the fact that they are becoming fast friends.
Some of the Best. Dialogue. Ever. happens when Addison returns and questions Callie about her relationship with Erica. Callie insists she is a huge, huge fan of penis and tells Addison she's been living in LA too long.

(Side note: Addison looks pretty damn good whilst she's eating whatever it is she's eating in that clip)

Erica lets Yang in on a surgery after Callie agrees to buy her a drink or two later that night.
Callie freaks out when Erica is nice to her and removes a hair stuck in her lip gloss or something. She runs off and sleeps with Mark.
She becomes all distant and Erica calls her out for avoiding her. Callie admits she was a little weirded out by the fact Addison mistook them for a couple. The two share some very awkward/nervous laughter.
They mess with Mark's head and joke about threesomes and being a couple. Erica kisses Callie in the elevator to show Mark that he couldn't handle a threesome with them. Although going by the look on Callie's face afterward, she couldn't handle the kiss

Season 4

Her and Mark continue to sleep together, with Mark talking dirty about Erica.
Callie begins to get flustered around Erica and Bailey tells her "You're acting weird".
Mark messes with Callie's head but eventually calls her out on the fact she's obviously into Erica and tells her to "finish what you started".
Callie kisses Erica. Mark watches rather creepily from the sidelines for a little bit before walking off. Although it's clear he just wants Callie to be happy.

Couple of videos worth checking out are these slightly extended versions of a few of their scenes video 1 and video 2 You might not notice the difference, but the few extra seconds really show how Callie and Erica feel :D

Grey's Anatomy - Seasons 1, 2 and 3

Season 1

No Callie.
No Erica.

Season 2

Callie
Callie first appears in episode 19. Introduced as love interest for George. Notable scenes include the almost naked bathroom trip in Meredith's house after she spent the night there with George (where she did wash her hands! Just in the kitchen 'cause she thought that Meridith and Izzie was staring at her too much. They were, but I don't blame them.)

Erica
Erica was introduced in episode 24 as the surgeon the entire gang are trying to steal a heart from for Denny. The gang succeeds, Erica puts the heart into Denny and then Denny dies anyway. But don't worry, he reappears constantly! *rolls eyes*

Gay-ness?
No gay-ness. I don't even think they meet.

Season 3

Callie
Callie becomes a regular cast member this season.
She gets caught by the chief whilst she's dancing around in her underwear in an unused part of the hospital (she's living there)

He kicks her out and she goes to live with George at Meredith's. That lasts no time at all and she's soon living in a hotel. She sleeps with Mark [Sloan]. Then George's dad dies and they end up getting married in Vegas.
It's revealed that Callie is rich after George confronts her about how they can afford to live in a hotel. Tension from this and George's obvious attraction to Izzie boils over and Callie throws him out of the hotel. George runs straight into Izzie's arms and they end up sleeping together. However the next day Caliie's dad visits to meet George so they end up back together. Callie's dad goes a little Mafia on George and warns him never to hurt her. However George is stuck in the middle of an Izzie/Callie sandwich and applies for a transfer to another hospital in an attempt to keep away from Izzie and save his marriage.
Callie becomes chief resident, even though everyone though Bailey was a sure thing.

Erica
Erica is asked for a consult, by George, for his father who needs a valve in his heart replaced. She does the operation, it's a success but he dies later on after an operation to remove a tumor.

Gayness?
Still no gay-ness. Too much George drama for that.

Prop 8

The fact that this even made it onto the ballot in this day and age
makes me angry.

Whilst all over the world gay rights are moving forward (you now get
civil unions in Uruguay or can get married in Norway for example),
across America they have taken a huge step backwards.
America might have just voted Barack Obama as their next president,
arguably the most gay friendly president yet (he even mentioned gay people in his acceptance speech), but gay Americans are still facing discrimination every day.

On ballots, this past election day, there was Prop 102 in Arizona and
Amendment 2 in Florida, both of which banned gay marriage by amending
the respective state's constitutions to define marriage as only "between
one man and one woman". Both passed. Also, in Arkansas, Initiated Act 1,
banned gay couples from adopting, under the guise of banning "all
unmarried couples".
Worst of all there was Prop 8 in California, also to amend the state's
constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman. What
makes Prop 8 worse than Prop 102 and Amendment 2, was the fact the same
sex marriage had been legal in California since May this year. So by
passing it, rights were actually taken away from people, rather than
just not being given to them in the first place. It also seems to have
passed. However the vote was so close (52% for, 48% against), it will not be official
until December 9th when the official final election results are
published. Although most realize it has probably passed and have
continued to fight it, instead of sitting around, waiting for the final
announcement. Thousands of people across California have already marched
to protest the results. (For details of protests in California, see here)

The battle against Prop 8 was 2nd only to the actual presidential race
in terms of the amount of money donated (over $38 million) The campaign
had the support of huge companies like Apple and Google and celebrities
such as Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg and Pauley Perrette (she believes
"this is the biggest civil rights issue of our generation.").
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Republican Governor of California, and
Barack Obama, now the President elect, were against Prop 8. However it
should be noted that both of them were against any attempts to amend the
state's constitution, rather than for gay marriage.

In contrast the yes on prop 8 campaign raised just over $36 million, and
most of that came from the Mormon church (is there not a separation of
church and state? I don't think a church with non-profit status should
be allowed to contribute that much towards changing laws). Not
surprisingly it's near impossible to find many big names that gave money
towards the yes campaign.

Many people might wonder why I care so much about fighting prop 8. I
don't live in California, heck, I don't even live in America. In fact I
live in the UK which already allows civil unions/partnerships which give
me every right that a straight married couple has.
However, civil unions are not equal to marriage, they have a different
name. We are not equal until there is no difference and I am allowed to
get married, just like my straight friends.
I believe that no-one should have to face discrimination, no matter
where they live. Just because it doesn't affect me directly now, doesn't
mean that it won't in the future.

I have this in the window of my flat and I'm hoping to
organize some sort of protest/gathering/something here in the UK (if
anyone wants to help, drop me a message or something), to show that
people across the world are against 8.
If I could, I would be in California protesting with everyone else, but
since I'm stuck where I am right now, I'm going to do everything that I
can from here.

ANTM thoughts

1. Uh, the robot thing at the beginning? Awesomely horrific! Especially all those bad effects so obviously added in later. Apparently some of those girls can [sorta] act :P

2. I lol'd at them showing the hug between Elina and her crush, Clark.
It shows that the show is 90% editing.

3. That alaskan girl (hannah) who keeps going on about having no electricity, heating or billboards back home. I get it! You're alaskan, and alaska apparently sucks. Stop talking about it already.

4. That blond french girl (marjorie) sounds like she might explode at any second, she's so scared! And that nervous laugh, jeez, i think she needs to calm down a little :P

5. One of the judges (Paulina?) said "O rly? " !!! Not "oh really", but "o rly" ! *almost dies of laughter*

6. I love isis, she knows her stuff! I don't care what anyone else says :)

7. "Smile. *pause* Smile. *pause* Well not that much." Said by one of the make up artists to samantha. Now that's just plain mean (and hilarious at the same time!)
Not quite as good as her pose though :P

8. Clark = a pretty face, but not much else :/ She didn't know what bureaucracy was? O rly?And she was so mean about Isis.

9. I've watched a quite a few cycles now, and i still don't know how to smile with my god damn my eyes! I wish tyra would teach me, it seems like it might be the answer to everything :(

The 10 steps to making that "new" show 90210

1. Go watch the first season of South Of Nowhere if you haven't already.
Take notes, you'll need them.

2. Take the characters of Glen and Clay and mush them together till you
get a sporty black kid who was adopted into a white family at a fairly
late age (like 8 years old or something)

3. Take Spencer, instead of being from Ohio, say she is from Kansas.
(Both in the midwest right?) Keep her fairly naive and don't give her
dark hair, give her blond highlights or red hair or something.

4. Give Ashley some puppets and a blog/vlog. Keep her dark hair and
sarcastic/bitchy outlook on life. She'll need that to write her blog.

5. Take the Arthur/the dad, make him the principle of the kid's high
school instead of having him work in social work. (He's still working
with kids so he'll manage fine)

6. You can't do anything with Paula, since Maeve is supposed to be in
this show as well (although in the 1hr 20 minutes of this [these] first
episode[s], i don't remember seeing her much/at all...) She'd probably
spot someone ripping off her character and all.

7. Take Aiden, and make his hair blond. And a little shorter. Have him
fall for Spencer.

8. Keep Madison exactly the same as she is at the beginning of season 1
down to the fact she is dating Aiden, used to be best friends with
Ashley and is a total bee-atch.

9. Remove almost every trace of gay-ness

10. Change the characters names and Re-name your show "90210".

Don't forget to have the family move to LA after the school year has
already begun, and start the season off with them in the car.

Congratulations you've made a "new" show :D Go sell it to some
unsuspecting network and watch the money come rolling in.

Also i'm working on some post-it note art, it's not finished yet because i've run out of pink post its. When it's done it'll have used almost 400 post it notes of various colours. I'm off to buy more in a minute though. Be nice, it's my first attempt at doing this, so squint a little/a lot and try and figure out what the picture is. Okay so it's not actually real, and some of the pictures could do with some better photoshopping than they've gotten [namely the hurdling one. It just looks painful] but i still think it's a pretty awesome set of pictures.

I do wish it was real though. I'd much rather watch guinea pigs on bikes than some of the stuff they show for the olympic coverage. I think i need to get hold of some actual guinea pigs and see if i can get them to recreate any sport at all :P

Super Morphing Plates

When i moved into this flat almost a year ago, i had sets of 4 of most
things. Four spoon, four knives, four plates, four bowls... That sort of
thing.
Now for some reason i seem to either have 3 or 5 of things. I haven't
bought anything new, and i don't remember breaking/losing any of my
stuff. So the only conclusion i come to is that some of my belongings
morphed into other things.

Like, i now have 3 plates but 5 bowls. So obviously the plate has
morphed into the bowl. That's not a crazy thing to think, right?

I wish my plates looked like that. Mine are just plain blue :(
